paul jones  ec 02 NEW PAUL JONES ALBUMPaul Jones’ new solo CD, released on Continental Blue Heaven, is titled “Starting All Over Again”. It’s Paul’s first solo album in several decades.
“Starting All Over Again” features Eric Clapton who plays on a number of songs, Jake Andrews, Ernie Watts (Rolling Stones, Thelonious Monk, Steely Dan), Tony Marsico (Neil Young, Peter Case), Darrell Leonard (Duane Allman, Freddie King, Smokey Robinson), and others.
“Philosopher’s Stone”, a Van Morrison song, is one of the many standout tracks on the abum. The bonus track, “Big Blue Diamonds”, is a duet between Jones and Percy Sledge, which originally appeared on Sledge’s 2004 “Shining Through the Rain”-album.

Co-producer is Carla Olson, who has produced Otis Rush, The Ventures, and Taj Mahal, among many others. She also recorded with Ry Cooder, Gene Clark, Don Henley, Eric Johnson, Mick Tayor, and John Fogerty.
